Designed and installed a complete off-grid power package enabling full weekend dry camping in Cal City without generator noise. Pure sine inverter powers microwave and AC.
Generator RepairOnan Generator Carburetor Rebuild
Generator would start and die after 3 minutes. Pulled and ultrasonically cleaned the varnished carburetor, replaced fuel filter and pump, then verified output under full load bank.
Air ConditionerRooftop A/C Capacitor & Control Board
Dometic rooftop unit hummed but compressor wouldn't engage in 102°F heat. Replaced failed start capacitor and control board, cleaned coils, and added a hard-start kit for generator use.
Electrical Repair12V Slide-Out Wiring Short Repair
Mysterious battery drain traced in 2 hours to a shorted slide-out motor wiring harness. Repaired harness, replaced damaged section, and verified full 12V system isolation.
Preventive MaintenanceWheel Bearing Repack & Brake Inspection
Annual preventive service: removed, cleaned, inspected, and repacked all wheel bearings with high-temp grease. Adjusted electric brakes and performed full 45-point safety check.
Plumbing RepairPEX Line Leak & Water Pump Replacement
Located hidden PEX line leak behind a cabinet, replaced the damaged run, and installed a new 12V water pump with vibration-dampening mounts for whisper-quiet operation.
Appliance RepairAbsorption Fridge Cooling Unit Service
Norcold refrigerator wouldn't cool on propane. Cleaned the burner tube, adjusted the igniter gap, tested the thermistor, and restored proper cooling on both gas and electric.
General RepairSlide-Out Motor & Seal Overhaul
Slide-out stuck off-track. Replaced the failed drive motor, realigned the room, and treated all rubber seals with UV protectant to prevent future binding and water intrusion.
